Disc-Roller XL Contour

The Stubble Cultivator that Ensures Excellent Soil Flow

The Disc-Roller XL Contour has been enlarged in several areas compared with traditional disc harrows. For example, it is equipped with Ø610 mm discs, whereas many traditional disc harrows today use smaller discs. This provides several advantages:

  • The discs penetrate deeper into the soil and cultivate effectively without clogging
  • The discs can better incorporate large amounts of plant and stubble material, such as maize stalks and cover crops

In addition to the larger disc size, the disc design has also been modified to ensure optimal soil flow. The discs are larger, stronger, and designed with larger notches, increasing soil grip and minimising the risk of blockage during operation.

The HE-VA Disc-Roller Has Grown

It is not only the discs that have changed. The entire Disc-Roller XL Contour construction has also been redesigned to ensure optimal soil flow and passage of large amounts of plant and stubble material. The frame construction has been raised, and extra spacing has been designed between the discs so that soil and material can be distributed freely.

Rollers

The Disc-Roller XL Contour can be equipped with Wave-Roller, V-Profile Roller, Twin V-Profile Roller, Square Tube Roller, U-Profile Roller and Twin U-Profile Roller. Each roller offers different advantages depending on soil type and the required finish after consolidation.

Automation Increases Field Efficiency

The Disc-Roller XL Contour builds on the well-known HE-VA DSD system, characterised by discs automatically becoming more aggressive the deeper they penetrate into the soil — all automatically during operation. This automation ensures a high level of field efficiency by minimising stops during operation, particularly in varying soil conditions.
